Background:

Richard spent ten years as a safety engineer and management trainer in the nuclear industry and has worked as a safety consultant on construction sites FOR THE PAST 15 YEARS, Richard is a frequent speaker at international conferences and seminars. He has trained thousands of supervisors and managers at organizations such as Exxon/Mobil, PPL, PSEG, Shell, Nestle Purina, McNeil Consumer Healthcare, Colorado Safety Association, American Society of Safety Engineers and the Society of Human Resource Management.

Richard studies brilliant people and passes on what he learns to his audiences. An accomplished guitarist and singer-songwriter, he weaves original songs and parodies into his talks and seminars. He also uses all kinds of props, prizes and lots of audience participation throughout each session.

Richard is the author of three safety-related books and maintains three safety-related e-zines.
